El corazón: En la Medicina Tradicional China, el corazón es el órgano de los sentimientos, es el órgano de la emisión, por lo tanto, la mente, la memoria, la conciencia y el espíritu funcionan de acuerdo como funcione el corazón, que en la MTC lo llaman shen y en personas que están luchando con un trastorno alimentario el enfoque va a reflejar el enfoque de vida.
El Hígado: Siendo el hígado el responsable del flujo correcto del cuerpo, por lo tanto, se incluyen las emociones en este accionar del cuerpo. Si hay muchos deseos reprimidos, puede resultar en un acto de ira o frustraciones por lo tanto la energía del hígado se va obstruyendo, y si es una persona con trastornos alimentarios, el hígado se va destruyendo.
Otros húrganos importantes en este aspecto son los riñones y el vaso, ya que tienen funciones muy importantes de eliminación y transformación, por lo tanto, el trastorno alimentario hace efectos extremadamente dañinos si no se corrige, porque pueden aparecer enfermedades como la diabetes, retención de líquidos, estreñimiento, entre otras
La medicina tradicional china estudia todos estos factores y se dirige a ver la raíz del problema, de tal manera que, si se sufre de un trastorno alimentario, en primer lugar, necesitas la ayuda de un profesional de salud mental que sea experto en el tratamiento de personas con trastornos de alimentación. Entonces, cuando estés listo para balancear de nuevo tu cuerpo y reparar el daño, la medicina china a través del uso de acupuntura y hierbas, puede ayudarte a calmar tu Shen, aliviando tu hígado, fortaleciendo tu bazo, y reconstruyendo y fortaleciendo tu riñón.
